STATUS
In-Production
In the high-stakes world of subsea operations, finding the right equipment shouldn't depend on personal connections. HarbourHub streamlines this by centralising discovery and transactions for a global market through a real-time marketplace.
I designed the end-to-end ecosystem for Harbour Hub, comprising four distinct interfaces: the Public Marketplace for discovery, a Buyer portal for procurement, a Seller dashboard for inventory management, and a Super Admin suite for platform-wide governance.
I worked across product strategy, UI/UX, and defined the brand feel to ensure the platform meets both users' needs and business goals.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Habourhub focuses on transparency and speed, allowing buyers to instantly discover and filter inventory by technical specifications, availability, and acquisition type.

WHAT WE DID
The redesign focused on simplifying Harbour Hub into a clear, search-to-action system built around how offshore professionals already work, priortizing;
A search-first experience that gets users to relevant equipment quickly
Familiar marketplace patterns to reduce the need for relearning
Structured listing and detail pages that make comparison effortless.
Clear acquisition paths (rent, hire, buy) without added complexity
Rather than introducing new behaviours, the goal was to remove friction — making sourcing feel fast, predictable, and reliable.

The user experience is built around a simplified search-to-action flow.
Operators can search for active inventory and complete an enquiry in as few steps as possible making procurement feel like a natural, digital process rather than a manual chore.
Vendors need to view and manage incoming equipment requests at a glance. New enquiries appear as clear cards showing the equipment type, duration, and acquisition mode (lease, hire, or buy). Vendors can accept or manage these leads with a single tap.
CREATING THE LOOK
creating a visual language that users can trust at a glance that supports decision-making without competing for attention.
The interface relies on a neutral, industrial-inspired palette to establish credibility, while strong, deliberate typography organises complex equipment data into clear, scannable layers. on spacing, alignment, and subtle accents to guide attention, ensuring that key actions and information are clear.

USING HARBOURHUB
Search-First Discovery
Users can immediately search for equipment or jump into familiar categories, reducing the time spent navigating and getting them to relevant results faster.

Low-Friction Sourcing Experience
Familiar layouts and clear actions allow users to move from search to enquiry in a few predictable steps, without needing to relearn how the platform works.

Comparable Listings
Each equipment card surfaces key details like pricing, deal type, location, and vendor status, making it easy to scan and compare multiple options at a glance.

Trust Signals Through Activity
Verified vendors, reviews, recent sales, and top seller rankings provide clear signals of credibility, helping users make confident decisions in a trust-driven industry.
TAKEAWAYS
I learned the importance of designing for recognition over novelty. Leveraging familiar marketplace patterns reduced onboarding time and made the platform immediately usable without training, which is critical in operational, time-sensitive contexts.
